Coming home in 2014

Well, I can officially confirm that my working days as a kindergarten assistant and coming to an end at the end of this school year, and I'm coming home to be a full time SAHM in 2014. As much as I've LOVED my job working with the kinder kiddies over the past 2 years, my health has been in steady decline this year and I've taken the difficult decision to finish up at work. I need to return my focus to my health and my family.  It was during my last stint as a full time SAHM that my health improved so much.
And I am overjoyed with the decision! I'm excited to be returning to being at home full time. I can't wait to reconnect with my beautiful blogging, crafty friends. I can't wait to have a bit more time and energy to spend on my creative pursuits. I can't wait to have better control over our weekly routine so that our family life can be a bit calmer and more organised. I can't wait to return to caring for our home and our garden so that it's a more enjoyable, nurturing place to be. Bring on 2014.

  1. Oh Anita... should I be sad for you or happy for you? A bit of each, I guess! But it will be lovely to have you back in blog land again. Enjoy your last few weeks at work and finish well... and then you can focus fully on home and family and health. Xx

    1. Thanks Chris. You should definitely be happy for me. I am blessed to be able to choose to give up work at this time. I'm confident I can manage my health better once I finish up. I've done it before and I can do it again. Whilst I have absolutely loved my time working with the little kids, I know that if I continue on while my health is failing, I will end up not enjoying work and resenting the toll it takes. I'd rather go now than continue on as a tired, sick, grumpy kindy assistant. I should add that I'll be staying on the casual list at my kindergarten, so I'm sure I'll be called in from time to time to cover the sick leave/holidays for other staff. So it's not goodbye to my workplace forever. I really am lucky to have choices. Thanks for stopping by and for caring. xoxo

    1. Thanks Sue. 2014 is looking good - just have to get through the chaos of the Christmas build up to get there. Looking forward to keeping in touch a bit more next year. Hope all is well with you and the family. xoxo
