Random images and slowing down.

As anyone who keeps tabs on this blog knows, I have not been here much lately. The truth is that I have not had the energy to devote to keeping up my blog in the last few months. There is a lot going on in my life and blogging seems very low down on the list of things to do. I have been toying with the idea of shutting this blog completely, but I know that if I do that I will have a sudden urge to reconnect! So I hope that you will understand if I just s-l-o-w my blogging right down to a crawl.....sometimes it may seem as if I have stopped completely. I may pop in from time to time just to touch base, but at the moment, there are other things demanding my time and energy - top of the list are my family, my health and my studies. You know the saying "something's gotta give"? Well unfortunately right now it is my blog. You can keep in touch with me on Facebook if you like, or you can email me. I'm also enjoying Pinterest at the moment, however that's not so much of a two way conversation - it's more about just collecting images that inspire me or that I just like.

Today I will share a few random pics from my life right now. Thanks for your understanding. I am grateful for the friendships and connections that my blog has given to me and I value them greatly, even in my absence. With much love, Anita. xxx

Molly thinks she is a kitten! She just loves playing with yarn.
Our stunning "October Glory" maple - at it's best in May :)

Autumn is my favourite season - how beautiful is our maple?!

J loves to read - and Molly loves to keep him company :)

Here's a card I made for my brother-in-law last week.
Have I mentioned how much I love this tree?
And have I mentioned how much I love these boys? My Mr's 45th Birthday was a couple of weeks ago.

iphone pic - An heuristic basket I made for my studies in Children's Services - lots of fun things for little ones to explore in here - tried to include natural and manmade materials and lots of texture.

iphone pic - my muddy boy after Auskick. It was cancelled so they didn't even get to start, so how did he get so completely saturated with mud? Hmmmm.........cheeky boy, this one.

iphone pic - J and Dad working on a school project - a "marble run".

iphone pic - Concentrating hard to perfect their design.

How can you make my favourite tree even more gorgeous? Add a rainbow!

  1. Oh that last photo!! So beautiful! I love your tree too. I know exactly what you mean about blogging and being so busy. I like your idea. I think that maybe I should keep my blog like that too. Do it when I want to and when I can. I've been tossing up what to do as well. I hope you are having a bit of fun with all that busyness!

  3. Beautiful photos Anita, your tree is just gorgeous. I love the colours of Autumn but in Queensland we don't get to experience it so much so I admire from afar on other peoples blogs:) I hope that everything settles down, life is busy so time away from the blog sounds like a good idea. Keep well see you when you stop by again.
